Scleral Lens

At West Hills Vision Care, we offer scleral lenses. Scleral lenses are custom-fit contact lenses for those patients who have irregular astigmatism, high prescriptions, dry eye, or have had eye complications due to surgery or trauma. Unlike traditional contact lenses which rest flat on the cornea (clear part of the eye), scleral lenses rest on the sclera (the white part of your eye), and vault over the entire cornea. Their unique design provides clear, comfortable vision in cases where traditional contact lenses would not ordinarily work.
